Short answer: As of 25 October 2026, Amazon hasn't announced its Black Friday Week or Cyber Monday dates for 2026 in any country. The calendar is settled: Black Friday is Friday 27 November 2026 and Cyber Monday is Monday 30 November 2026. Going by the last two years, Amazon's US, UK and German sales are likely to start around 19–20 November and run into 1 December. Japan usually starts a few days later and splits its sale into an early pre-sale and a main event.

Everything below is labelled as either confirmed (fixed calendar dates, or dates Amazon has published) or expected (based on what Amazon did in past years). We'll update this page when Amazon announces its dates. Last year that announcement came in mid-November.

When is Amazon Black Friday 2026?

Two dates are fixed. US Thanksgiving falls on Thursday 26 November 2026, so Black Friday is 27 November and Cyber Monday is 30 November. Amazon builds its sale around those days, but not on them. For several years now it has run a longer "Black Friday Week" that starts about a week before Black Friday itself.

In 2025, Amazon US said its Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday deals would start at 12:01am PT on 20 November. Black Friday was on 28 November and Cyber Monday on 1 December that year (aboutamazon.com). Amazon UK and Amazon Germany both ran their sales from 20 November to 1 December 2025, which works out to 12 days.

Expected for 2026: A start around Thursday 19 November, with deals running to about Tuesday 1 December. That's the same weekday pattern shifted one day earlier, because Black Friday is a day earlier this year. German deal site delamar.de projects 19 November for Germany using the same reasoning. None of this is confirmed yet.

A couple of notes on the table:

  • Japan works differently. In 2025 Amazon.co.jp ran a three-day pre-sale (21–23 November) and then an eight-day main sale (24 November – 1 December). Japanese press described it as Amazon Japan's longest Black Friday so far. Impress Watch also reported a "surprise pre-sale" from 19 November. Japan also asked shoppers to enter a points campaign before buying; in 2025 entry opened on 14 November. That's something to watch for again this year.
  • The 2026 start dates are guesses. Amazon has moved the start date around before, and other deal sites disagree. CoinGate, for example, expects the US sale to start on 23 November. Treat any date you see online, including ours, as provisional until Amazon publishes its own.

When will Amazon announce Black Friday 2026?

Based on past years: about one to two weeks before the sale starts. In 2025, Amazon published its Black Friday Week dates in mid-November, roughly a week before deals went live. Mynavi's report on Amazon Japan's dates is dated 14 November 2025. Expect the 2026 announcement somewhere between 10 and 17 November 2026.

Until then, ignore any "Amazon Black Friday 2026 is live" posts. We saw at least one page claiming 2026 deals started in August, and it admitted it had no evidence.

Is Amazon Black Friday 2026 in the UK the same as the US?

Based on the last two years, almost certainly yes. The UK has matched the US start and end dates closely. In 2025 both ran from 20 November to 1 December. The UK doesn't have Thanksgiving, but Amazon UK still uses the same "Black Friday Week" name and timing.

The differences are in the deals themselves. UK prices, Amazon-device discounts and Prime-exclusive offers are set separately, so a deal you see on amazon.com won't necessarily be on amazon.co.uk.

Amazon Black Friday 2026 Germany: what to expect

Amazon.de called its 2025 event the "Black Friday Woche" and ran it from 00:01 on 20 November to 23:59 on 1 December. German deal sites expect a similar 12-day window in 2026, starting on 19 November. Amazon hasn't confirmed this.

One German habit to know about: prices on amazon.de are often tracked closely by deal communities, and fake "was" prices get called out quickly. That's another reason to check the price history before you buy (see the checklist below).

Amazon Black Friday 2026 Japan: pre-sale and main sale

Expected, based on 2025: a short pre-sale in the week of 20 November, then a main sale that reaches its peak around Black Friday weekend and ends around 1 December. Japan usually announces its dates separately from the US and UK. Look for a press release on amazon.co.jp or coverage in Japanese tech media such as Impress Watch.

If you shop on amazon.co.jp, register for the points campaign as soon as the entry page goes live. In 2025, purchases only counted toward the points rewards if you'd entered first.

How to prepare for Amazon Black Friday 2026: a checklist

This is the practical part. Start working through it now, about four weeks out.

1. Check price history before you trust a "deal" badge

  • Use a price tracker such as CamelCamelCamel (US, UK, DE, JP and other Amazon storefronts) or Keepa (a browser extension that shows a price chart on the product page).
  • Look at the lowest price in the past 6–12 months. If the "Black Friday price" matches the Prime Day price from July, it isn't a new low.
  • Set price-drop alerts now for the things you actually want.

2. Build your wishlists now

  • Add items to an Amazon List so you can check them quickly once the sale starts.
  • Amazon often notifies you when an item on a list or in your cart gets a deal, but this depends on your app notification settings.
  • Keep separate lists for things you need and things you'd only buy at a big discount. It keeps impulse spending down.

3. Time your Prime trial

  • Many Black Friday deals, especially Lightning Deals and some Amazon-device discounts, are Prime-only or Prime-first.
  • If you're not a member and want to use the free trial, starting it a day or two before the sale begins (around 18–19 November, if the expected dates hold) covers Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday within a 30-day trial.

  • Update your default card and address before the sale so checkout doesn't slow you down during a Lightning Deal.
  • Holiday delivery slots fill up quickly, so check the estimated delivery date before you buy anything that's a gift.

6. Keep an eye on refunds and returns

Editor's tip: Don't wait for Black Friday itself if an item you've been tracking hits its all-time low on day one of the sale. In past years, many of Amazon's best device prices appeared at the start of the week and stayed the same through Cyber Monday. Popular colours and sizes are what sell out.

What deals should you expect on Amazon in 2026?

Amazon hasn't published a 2026 deals preview yet. Based on past years, you can expect:

  • Amazon devices: usually the biggest and most predictable discounts. Echo speakers, Fire TV Sticks, Kindles and Ring/Blink bundles are often at or near their lowest prices of the year.
  • Lightning Deals: limited-time, limited-quantity offers, many of them Prime-only.
  • Brand-wide sales: percentage-off events across categories such as toys, beauty and kitchen.
  • Prime Video and digital deals: discounted movie rentals and channel subscriptions have appeared in past Black Friday events, though this varies by country.
